The Inn
Built in 1674 with a major addition in 1720, The Black Boar Inn is the oldest structure in the Town of Ogunquit and one of the oldest wooden structures in the United States. King James II granted this land to Alexandre Maxwell in the mid-1600s, and the Maxwell family built the original home in 1674. Only the third family to own it in over 340 years, today's stewards have preserved its remarkable character while updating the baths and common areas for modern guests.
- Original 1720 Indian Shutters preserved in the King James II room
- Wide pine wood floors throughout
- Multiple fireplaces in common rooms
- En suite bathrooms with contemporary fixtures in every room
- Modern self check-in with keypad
